From the final Connect Time in Circuit Cellar Issue #80, March 1997:

“I do want to thank a few individuals who have contributed above and beyond the call over the last 10 years (and, I'm hopeful, for years to come). Specifically, Bob Paddock, Pellervo Kaskinen, George Novacek, Jim Meyer, and Ed Nisley. I could always count on one of these sharp guys to have an intelligent, well-thought-out answer to some of the most off-the-wall questions I've ever seen.”

Sometimes we choose our mission in life, other times it chooses us.

Due to my wife's suicide I have become very active in the medical community in raising awareness of Intracranial Hypotension due to Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) Leaks, raising awareness of the deadly Fluoroquinolone antibiotics that should be removed from the market and helping those that Karen left behind that suffer from the same conditions that she did.

CSF Leaks are a condition that is more common that many think (for example Actor George Clooney had/has a CSF Leak and considered suicide), yet is so unknown that some doctors argue the condition does not even exist.

Fluoroquinolone antibiotics (Cipro, Levaquin and 20 other names) were a significant contributor to Karen's suicide. Karen's Journal was entered as evidence in the November 5th 2015 FDA Review Hearing on how truly devastating these drugs can be to your health.

“Karen's first-hand account of her illness gave an honest, heart-wrenching depiction of what it is like to live with debilitating pain day-to-day.” — By Savannah Barrs Staff writer of The Derrick Newspaper.

Hello, Dean-Whitter? I want to buy stock in Georgia Pacific.. Now!

I'm not kidding! Take a look back and see the length of some of the things Bob has posted as messages here. Giving him a fax number might be like the waste basket for the library of congress. –Steve ;-)

Humm… I'm not sure if I should take that as

Bob = Trash Can or Bob = Library of Congress,

no matter. :-)

I assure you that the reference was to you being the library, not the trash can. It always seems that if anyone has a question you have a volume of data on the subject. It helps keep this BBS interesting. Thanks. –Steve

An other example of my work in extrema environments:

We no longer recommended Duracell's. All but the 9V shown in the video are now manufactured in Tunisia and they WILL leak…
